Garfield Medical Center's Emergency Room provides 24-hour emergency care

The ER Department at Garfield Medical Center:

provides high-quality care to all emergency patients
fully addresses all patients' and patients' families' needs
initiates immediate treatment for all emergencies

A designated triage nurse is always on staff and every person presented to the ER is assessed by a medical professional within 15-20 minutes of his or her arrival, and is then treated in either the fast track or standard ER area.

Garfield Medical Center is a (STEMI) Receiving Center. This makes Garfield one of the few hand-picked hospitals in Los Angeles County recognized for the excellence and timeliness of its care for true heart-attack patients.
